Our Mission
Veteran DEFCON exists to make sure veterans do not have to navigate life after service alone.We provide hands on help with VA medical benefits, disability claims, housing resources, transportation to appointments, and finding the right support systems. We also provide something many veterans lack after service. Morale. Conversation. Someone who understands and actually shows up.Some veterans need help with paperwork.
Some need guidance through broken systems.
Some just need an ear when isolation, stress, or darkness starts closing in.Right now this work is done one veteran at a time. Funding allows it to expand. More time. More reach. More veterans helped consistently and beyond one local area.Veteran DEFCON is veteran to veteran support. Real help. Real presence. No one left fighting alone.
WHY I STARTED THIS
After suffering a brutal TBI while serving, the memories of my time in are fading and most stories forgotten.That’s why I started Veteran DEFCON. To give other vets a place to tell their stories while they still can. To turn those stories into fuel. Fuel that funds real help. Walking vets through VA claims. Giving rides. Being the guy who actually shows up.Like so many of our vets, I was trained to suck it up. To never be a burden. To stay quiet because others had it worse. I didn’t trust the system.
I didn’t want to relive it. And I sure as hell didn’t think anyone would listen.So now I am.I can’t remember most of my own stories, so I want to hear yours.
